I'm gonna be a clown tomorrow in my church's spring carnival. Does anyone know some simple magic tricks I could try that dont need special supplies?

No card tricks please.

If you don't already do magic, please don't try it out one day after learning it.

There are a number of tricks appropriate to clowns. They do take some props - ropes, balloons, etc.

There are also a number of faith based magic tricks available for church functions.

If this is going to be a regular gig, you might consider a change bag like the one I reviewed at :

    http://www.epinions.com/review/Costumes4less_P_and_L_ZIPPER_CHANGE_BAG/content_456406830724

It will allow you to work surrounded and to alter the trick to fit the venue.

You might also consider investing in a spring animal such as Robbie the Raccoon which I reviewed at:

    http://www.epinions.com/review/Robbie_The_Magic_Trick_Raccoon_Spring_Animal/content_420388310660

This is a real crowd pleaser. Both tricks work well in crowds and can be done surrounded.

Sorry, but while magic is sometimes easy to do, performing it well takes more than a night….

and since clown magic and magic for children is highly visual, there isn't much that doesn't require some props.

I am a magician and I think a sponge ball routine would be perfect for your gig. Lol you could make jokes about multiplying you nose :), but seriously sponge ball routines are good. you don't need to buy the sponge balls you can get a sponge ball and cut it into 4 pieces. Go onto magicgeek.com and watch their free sponge ball trick and perform that. Also a good trick would be to do the coin through hand trick. You get two coins and put one stuck between your index and middle finger so nobody can see it, you place the second coin on top of your hand and tell someone to put their hand under yours. Hit the top of your hand and the coin underneath your hand should fall onto their hand then you simply take the original coin and pretend it really went through your hand! hope this helped
